Job summary

Oscar is seeking a Value Based Contracting Associate to join the Network Contracting team. The role focuses on negotiating and executing Value Based Contracts to optimize costs while ensuring access to quality care for members.

You will analyze provider performance and support complex terms with regulatory compliance. Reporting to the Manager, Value Based Contracting, you will help grow the network, engage providers directly, and contribute to cost-saving initiatives in a remote field-based role

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years in healthcare client management, healthcare consulting, or provider contracting
• 2+ years supporting provider network strategy and negotiating contracts
• 1+ year running financial analyses on markets or product lines and cross-functional collaboration
• 1+ year navigating and organizing large data sets such as claim files and provider rosters

Responsibilities

• Implement Value Based Contracting strategies under supervision with Network Manager
• Negotiate contracts with healthcare providers focusing on favorable terms and compliance
• Serve as SME to a small team of contracting specialists/analysts
• Analyze provider contracts for improvements and optimization
• Use data analytics to inform negotiation and contracting decisions
• Mentor junior team members and support training and development
• Support contracting policies and workflows; meet metrics and SLAs
• Collaborate with the provider services team on servicing and communication to network
• Monitor networks for compliance and develop corrective action plans
• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
• Perform other duties as assigned
