Job summary

athenahealth is seeking an experienced Product Manager to guide development and delivery for Value Based Care practices. You will collaborate with engineering, UX, analytics, and client-facing teams to translate client goals into a clear product roadmap and measurable outcomes.

You will drive modernization and rollout of features, balancing scope and schedule while prioritizing long-term impact. A healthcare revenue cycle expert with strong communication will thrive in this dynamic role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience is required.
• Strong understanding of Value Based Care, ambulatory practice operations, healthcare revenue cycle, and health IT systems is required.
• 5+ years overall professional experience; 2-4 years of formal product management experience, or related experience, preferred.
• Understanding of product management best practices, including agile development.
• Demonstrated success at driving innovation using analytic and/or AI capabilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to frame problems and potential solutions effectively.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive the product roadmap and prioritization of customer needs for Value Based Care practices.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, UX, analytics, product operations, and other teams.
• Create clear product requirement documentation articulating business requirements for the problems we’re trying to solve.
• Understand market opportunities and business models to serve clients today and in the future.
• Identify and track metrics and success criteria to create transparency and opportunities for improvement.
• Partner with Product Management leaders to be the voice of product decisions within the organization.
