Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education, training and experience is required.
• Strong understanding of Value Based Care, ambulatory practice operations, healthcare revenue cycle, and health IT systems is required.
• 5+ years overall professional experience; 2-4 years of formal product management experience, or related experience, preferred.
• Understanding of product management best practices, including agile development.
• Demonstrated success at driving innovation in a dynamic environment using analytic and/or AI capabilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to frame problems and potential solutions effectively.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

• Own and drive the product roadmap and prioritization of customer needs for Value Based Care practices
• Collaborate cross-functionally with counterparts and stakeholders in engineering, UX, analytics, product operations, and other teams throughout the organization
• Create clear product requirement documentation articulating business requirements for the problems we're trying to solve - including UX/CX/Support requirements
• Understand the market opportunity re: user needs, market forces, and applicable business models; with regards to what would best serve our clients today as well as in the future
• Identify and track metrics and success criteria to create transparency and visibility to program success and opportunities for improvement
• Partner with Product Management leaders to be the voice of product decisions within the organization; assist leaders in identifying business opportunities that will drive product success

Expected Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience is required
• Strong understanding of Value Based Care, ambulatory practice operations, healthcare revenue cycle, and health IT systems is required

Expected Compensation:

$121,000 - $207,000 The base salary range shown reflects the full range for this role from minimum to maximum. At athenahealth, base pay depends on multiple factors, including job-related experience, relevant knowledge and skills, how your qualifications compare to others in similar roles, and geographical market rates. Base pay is only one part of our competitive Total Rewards package - depending on role eligibility, we offer both short and long-term incentives by way of an annual discretionary bonus plan, variable compensation plan, and equity plans.
