Job summary

SMI Hotel Group is seeking a Valet Supervisor to lead the valet team and ensure smooth operations, exceptional guest service, and strict adherence to safety protocols at our Richmond, VA property. You will train attendants, manage vehicle flow at the entrance, greet guests, park vehicles safely, and collaborate with front desk and other departments to deliver a seamless guest experience.

A valid driver's license, clean driving record, and strong customer service skills are required; the role

• Excellent driving skills for manual and automatic transmissions.

• Ability to handle guests' vehicles with care.
• Physical ability to assist with luggage and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Assist with managing and training valet attendants.
• Coordinate with departments to ensure guest experience.
• Evaluate attendants and provide feedback; implement corrective actions.
• Address guest concerns and resolve operational issues.
• Greet hotel guests and assist with entering/exiting vehicles.
• Assist guests in exiting and entering their vehicles and help with luggage if necessary.
• Safely park guests' vehicles and maintain orderly parking areas.
• Maintain clean valet stand and organize keys.
• Provide information about hotel services and local attractions.
• Monitor vehicle flow at the hotel entrance while ensuring safety.
• Keep track of vehicle keys and maintain storage system.
• Familiarize with vehicle types to handle them safely.
• Report damages or maintenance issues to hotel staff.
• Maintain professional appearance and dress code.
• Assist guests in emergencies and provide basic first aid.
• Collaborate with front desk to fulfill guest requests promptly.
