Position Overview

TalentBase is seeking a motivated and professional VA Work Study Outreach Coordinator to support outreach, participant engagement, and workforce program operations for the Veterans CareerBridge program.

This position is designed for individuals approved for the VA Work Study Allowance Program who are interested in gaining hands on experience in workforce development, veteran outreach, participant support, and program operations.

The Outreach Coordinator will help guide prospective participants through the intake and enrollment process by responding to inquiries, conducting phone screens, assisting with document coordination, maintaining participant records, and supporting approved outreach activities and events.

This role is relationship focused and mission driven, centered on helping veterans and military affiliated individuals better understand available workforce development opportunities and transition resources.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to inbound participant inquiries related to Veterans CareerBridge and related workforce programs
  
• Conduct phone screens and participant intake conversations
  
• Help guide prospective participants through the enrollment and document submission process
  
• Maintain accurate participant records and communication updates within TalentBase systems
  
• Send approved participant communications and follow up messages
  
• Assist with outreach activities and approved workforce related events alongside TalentBase leadership and staff
  
• Support participant engagement efforts through professional communication and relationship building
  
• Handle confidential participant information in a professional and secure manner
  
• Participate in scheduled meetings, training activities, and program coordination efforts
  
• Utilize TalentBase communication and workforce systems for approved outreach and participant support activities
  

Required Qualifications

• Must meet all eligibility requirements for the VA Work Study Allowance Program
  
• Must be actively using eligible VA education benefits
  
• Must be enrolled in school at a rate approved by the VA Work Study Program
  
• Strong communication and customer service skills
  
• Organized, dependable, and professional
  
• Comfortable speaking with participants over the phone
  
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
  
• Willingness to attend approved meetings and workforce related events
  
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment
  
• Reliable internet connection and access to a computer or laptop capable of supporting required systems and applications
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Veteran, military spouse, or military affiliated background preferred
  
• Understanding of military culture and transition challenges preferred
  
• Interest in workforce development, human resources, recruiting support, business operations, or veteran services
  
• Degree path in Human Resources, Business, Communications, Public Administration, or related field preferred
  
• Familiarity with CRM systems or administrative support tools is a plus
  
• Part time position through the VA Work Study Allowance Program
  
• Flexible scheduling available based on approved work study hours
  
• Remote work environment with required attendance at approved meetings and events
  
• Some evening meetings or events may occur with advance notice provided
  
• Webcam/camera required for meetings

Compensation

Compensation is provided through the VA Work Study Allowance Program and is paid at either the federal or state minimum wage, whichever is higher, in accordance with VA Work Study guidelines.
