Job summary

TMCC seeks a Veterans Education Benefits Manager to oversee VA education benefits certification, ensure regulatory compliance, and supervise staff in certifications and quality control. The role focuses on accurate processing, audits, and coordination with related NSHE programs.

You will develop SOPs, maintain documentation for reviews, and act as the subject matter expert for veterans’ benefits while supporting the Veteran Services Program Director.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Two years of relevant experience.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to manage high volumes of records and meet deadlines.
• Attention to detail in a highly regulated environment.
• Ability to interpret and apply VA regulations and policies.

Responsibilities

• Oversee VA education benefits certification and quality control.
• Supervise VA certification workflows and enrollment management.
• Ensure timely processing of certifications, adjustments, and amendments.
• Maintain accurate student records and supporting documentation.
• Coordinate with Nevada National Guard Fee Waiver processes.
• Prepare documentation for audits and compliance reviews.
• Provide guidance to staff and escalate complex issues as needed.
