Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher learning.
• Two years of experience working at an institution of higher learning, preferably in a college Veterans Affairs Office or Student Advising.
• Experience in PeopleSoft and Enrollment Manager preferred.
• Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Review student records, monitor enrollments, and process enrollments in PeopleSoft and the VA's Enrollment Manager system in compliance with VA rules.
• Liaise with advising operations, Office of Financial Solutions, and other UMGC departments to resolve escalated certification questions.
• Assist students in resolving VA education benefits issues.
• Liaise with overseas points of contact to process enrollment certifications.
• Adhere to SAA and VA regulations and office protocols to ensure timely certification processes.
• Provide information about VA benefits to students, applicants, and UMGC staff as first point of contact.
• Develop and maintain job aids and internal training materials.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
