Truckee Meadows Community College seeks a Veterans Education Benefits Manager to oversee VA education benefit certification operations, including the Post-9/11 GI Bill and Nevada National Guard Fee Waiver. You will supervise staff, maintain compliance, and manage complex benefit issues to ensure accurate, timely certifications and audits.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and at least two years of experience, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail in a regulated

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• Two years of relevant experience.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple responsibilities.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills for high-volume records.
• Ability to prioritize, manage competing responsibilities, and meet deadlines.
• Attention to detail in a highly regulated environment.
• Ability to interpret and apply formal policies, regulations, and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Oversee VA education benefits certification and quality control.
• Supervise certification for student enrollments via the VA Enrollment Manager system.
• Ensure timely processing of certifications, adjustments, and terminations.
• Review activity for accuracy and compliance; coordinate corrections as needed.
• Resolve complex cases and document regulatory interpretations.
• Maintain records and documentation for audits, compliance reviews.
• Prepare documentation for VA and State Approving Agency reviews.
• Supervise staff and provide VA regulations training.
