NC STATE UNIVERSITY is seeking a UTS- Temporary Surplus/Warehouse Assistant at UNC Chapel Hill to support surplus operations. You will load/unload items, stock shelves, inspect shipments, and help customers view and purchase surplus properties.
The role emphasizes accurate inventory, space optimization, and safe handling up to 50 lbs. This temporary position runs Monday–Friday, 7:30 am–4:00 pm, with duties including cross-department communication and maintaining a clean warehouse.
The primary responsibility of this position is to support the operations of the department by efficiently handling incoming and outgoing property. This includes loading and unloading items, stocking shelves, and ensuring accurate inventory management. The role also involves assisting customers with property viewings and purchases, optimizing warehouse space utilization, maintaining communication across departments, and upholding cleanliness and organization standards. The individual must be capable of safely lifting up to 50 lbs. with or without reasonable accomodations and performing additional duties as assigned.
