NC State University is seeking an Event Preparation Staff to ensure smooth execution of workshops, conferences, and seminars. The role includes planning, setup, and post-event breakdown with emphasis on safety, accuracy, and customer service.
Responsibilities span before and after events; occasional AV assistance may be required. Flexible hours include evenings and weekends, up to 29 hours weekly, with opportunities to support high-profile events at MCTC in Raleigh.
NC State Continuing and Lifelong Education (NCSCaLE) is a division of the Provost within the Office of the Vice Provost for Continuing Education. The McKimmon Conference and Training Center ( MCTC ) reports to the Continuing & Professional Education Director. MCTC has 33,000 square feet of meeting space and assists with set-ups, exhibits, educational event gatherings, catering, and printing services which include shipping and receiving, and can provide 650 spaces of free parking.

The Event Preparation Staff plays a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of various events, including workshops, conferences, and seminars. For example, the Bar Exam, Cyber Security, Engineering Career Fair, and Global Green Energy. Event Staff responsibilities span before and after an event. Here are the key duties:
Other Work/Responsibilities: Occasional specialized duties may include Audio/Visual technical assistance and operation of specialized equipment as training allows.
The Event Preparation Staff contributes to exceptional customer service and ensures that events run smoothly, efficiently, and positively reflect on the brand. Event Staff plays a key role in creating memorable experiences for attendees!
