Job summary

R-2 Contractors, Inc. seeks an accomplished Utility-Scale Trenching Division Manager to lead and grow the Trenching Division across the United States. This executive role oversees production trenching, conduit installation, and backfilling, while developing people and strengthening customer relationships.

Location options include Gilbert, AZ or Prineville, OR with ~25% travel; salary range $180k-$250k DOE. Strong leadership and safety focus are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years in heavy civil or underground utility construction.
• Proven experience leading multiple trenching crews and large-scale operations.
• Strong knowledge of high-production trenching and conduit installation.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for trenching operations across projects.
• Build and mentor a high-performing team of field leaders.
• Plan manpower, equipment, materials and subcontractors for execution.
• Ensure safety, quality, and schedule adherence across the division.
• Develop customer relationships and drive division growth.
