R-2 Contractors, Inc. is seeking an accomplished Utility-Scale Trenching Division Manager to lead and grow our Trenching Division across nationwide projects.

This executive role partners with Operations and leadership to oversee all trenching operations, develop people, and deliver safe, productive, and high-quality underground installation. The position requires 10+ years in heavy civil or underground utility construction, proven leadership of large crews, and proficiency with Tesmec and

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of heavy civil or underground utility construction experience.
• Proven experience leading multiple trenching crews and large-scale projects.
• Strong knowledge of trenching, conduit installation, and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for trenching operations across multiple projects.
• Build and mentor a high-performing team of field leaders.
• Lead high-production trenching, conduit installation, and backfilling activities.
• Plan manpower, equipment, materials, and subcontractors for project execution.
• Coordinate resources and scheduling to maximize efficiency and safety.
• Develop future leaders through coaching and performance management.
• Maintain strong relationships with customers and project stakeholders.
