Job summary

ComEd, a subsidiary of Exelon, seeks an engineer to develop construction drawings, layouts, and material lists for utility infrastructure on electric generation, transmission, distribution, gas and telecom facilities. You will perform field engineering and support both internal and external customers, coordinating with project teams to meet customer needs.

This role may require extended hours and 24x7 coverage during storms or energy delivery emergencies, with adherence to engineering standards

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent technical education.
• Ability to analyze electrical and mechanical systems.
• Proficiency with codes, standards, and engineering practices.

Responsibilities

• Develops construction drawings and material lists for complex utility projects.
• Interprets engineering standards and applies memos.
• Supports customer and company systems with design recommendations.
• Assists in evaluating design processes and participates in project teams.
