Job summary

Exelon is hiring a design engineer to develop layouts, drawings, and material requirements for complex utility infrastructure projects across its generation, transmission, distribution, gas and telecom systems.

You will perform field engineering, coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, and ensure compliance with engineering standards while supporting customers and the company on New Business installations and related activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in a technical field or equivalent experience.
• Ability to analyze and interpret electrical and mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of construction, operations or engineering principles and practices.
• Proficient CAD skills (Computer Drawing / CAD).
• Valid driver's license.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop designs, layouts, construction drawings, and BOMs for complex utility infrastructure projects.
• Coordinate with teams on New Business installations, removals and relocations.
• Interpret and apply engineering standards and memos.
• Assist with technical consultation and plan developments for customer and company systems.
• Evaluate and improve design processes; participate in cross-functional teams.
