Job summary
Exelon is seeking a design engineer to develop designs, layouts, construction drawings, and a bill of materials for utility infrastructure across Exelon’s electric generation, transmission, distribution, gas and telecom facilities. The role includes field engineering and coordination with customers and internal teams, with potential 24x7 coverage during storms.
The position requires interpreting standards, applying engineering principles, and supporting New Business projects to meet delivery
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or technical field or equivalent experience.
- Ability to analyze and interpret electrical and mechanical systems.
- Knowledge of standards, codes and practices for utility installations.
- Proficient CAD and drawing tools.
Responsibilities
- Develop designs, layouts, construction drawings, and material lists for utility infrastructure projects.
- Interpret engineering standards and apply them to projects.
- Coordinate with customers and internal teams; monitor timelines and milestones.
- Support design reviews and field engineering tasks.
