The City of Garland is seeking a customer service specialist to support utility customers over the phone, in person, or by email. You will resolve questions about electric, water, sewer, and sanitation services and guide customers through common billing issues.

The role requires a High School diploma and at least two years of related experience; prior call center work is a plus. You will process connections, disconnections, late payments, and service restorations, and provide information on

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2 years of related customer service or call center experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Resolve utility billing inquiries for electric, water, sewer, and sanitation services.
• Process service connections, disconnections, and transfers.
• Assist customers regarding late payments and service restorations due to non-payment.
• Issue bill adjustment memos, Letters of Credit, and Letters of Residency as needed.
• Provide information about various utility programs and services.
• Other duties as assigned.
