Job summary

Sync Residential seeks a Utility Billing Coordinator at our Corporate Office in Houston to ensure accurate billing, manage submeter data, and support reporting. This role directly impacts company funds and requires strong analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in multifamily property management or equivalent.
• Proven experience with corporate reporting and billing reconciliation is preferred.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills are required.
• Proficiency in Excel is required.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the billing and recovery of resident utilities.
• Tracks, monitors, and maintains submeter health reports and RUBS allocation methodologies.
• Ensures proper reimbursement levels through allocation audits and account setup verification.
• Reviews and analyzes utility billing reports for accuracy and identifies opportunities to improve billing metrics.
• Compiles and distributes accurate utility billing reports, cost and usage analysis, budget variance, and ad-hoc reports to operations, accounting, and other teams.
• Acts as liaison between on-site teams, residents, utility providers, and vendors.
• Provides billing support for resolution of resident billing concerns.
• Maintains documentation and procedures for utility billing and property dispositions/acquisitions.
• Keeps abreast of laws and regulations related to utility billing and analyzes financial impacts of changes.
• Obtains bids, work authorizations, and approvals, and schedules submetering repairs, installations, and capital replacements.
