Job summary

The Town of Collierville is seeking an Accounting Technician (Utility Billing) to join our Finance Department. This is a full-time role focused on processing financial documents, accounts payable/receivable, and providing exceptional customer service to utility customers.

Candidates should have an Associate degree in Accounting/Finance/Business and at least one year of related experience; equivalent combinations may be considered.

Qualifications

• Associate degree with major coursework in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
• One year of experience in basic accounting, bookkeeping, office administration, or related area.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Receiving, preparing, and processing financial documents.
• Performing accounts payable and/or receivables work.
• Advanced customer service / accounts management tasks.
• Reconciling accounting transactions and balancing ledgers.
• Creating and maintaining accounting databases and automated files.
• Preparing records, reports, and summaries of fiscal operations.
