Job summary

SGS Consulting is seeking a hands-on IT support technician to join our Sacramento team. The role focuses on on-site troubleshooting for PC hardware and software, printers, and network peripherals, with responsibilities for installations, upgrades, and loaner devices.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years in IT support, a high school diploma or equivalent (AS/BS preferred), and strong communication skills to assist users and escalate issues when needed.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in IT/help desk/support.
• Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-the-spot troubleshooting for hardware and software issues.
• Support installations, upgrades, and network peripherals and printers.
• Maintain loaner laptops and projectors.
• Route help desk tickets to appropriate technicians or support groups.
• Provide support through online chat system.
