Job summary

Pomeroy is seeking an Onsite Support Technician to deliver local IT assistance at the Walk-In Center and client sites in Indianapolis. You will handle hardware upgrades, software issues, and basic networking while maintaining strong customer communication.

The role covers Windows and macOS support, Office 365, printers, AV equipment, and smart hands for various devices. A proactive, team-oriented attitude is essential.

Qualifications

• 2-3+ years local in-country onsite support experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication in local language and English.
• Good interpersonal skills and customer-facing demeanor.
• Experience with hardware break/fix and peripheral devices.
• Familiarity with ServiceNow ticketing and AV/meeting room support.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite support at the Walk-In Center and client sites.
• Handle standard and non-standard hardware issues (RAM/SSD, printers, monitors).
• Support Office 365 and basic software issues for end users.
• Perform Smart Hands tasks including printers, scanners, and network devices.
• Assist in room setup for meetings (audio/video equipment) and network cabling.

Onsite Support, also covering IT Link (Walk-In) Center - recommended experience level:

• Relevant years of local in country experience: > 2-3 years
• Good oral and written communication skills in local language + English
• Good interpersonal skills
• Industry standard skills normally expected from an onsite support technician including:
• ServiceNow ticket handling
• Microsoft Windows and Apple operating system - all related issues
• How-to assistance of End User assigned IT devices and software
• Standard and non-Standard HW devices (peripherals like monitors, label printers, etc.)"
• Perform basic HW support for Desktop & Laptop:
• RAM upgrade
• Keyboard exchange
• SSD HD replacement"
• Assistance on Software related issues (Standard & Non-Standard)
• Microsoft Office 365 suite
• Smart Hands experiences for any support team including but not limited to: MFP, Standalone, Networked Printers & Scanners, including toner replacement etc, Servers & Storage
• Smartphones & Portable Devices experiences for SIM handling and provisioning
• Meeting room support (Audio and Video Equipment)
• Network cabling and port patching, Wi-Fi network, replacement of router, HUBS, and Switches (local task pertaining to Smart Hands support) Support of LAN closets, MDFs and IDFs
