Job summary

Jackson Group Peterbilt seeks an experienced sales professional to drive used truck and trailer sales to owner-operators, fleets, and contractors. This hunter role focuses on prospecting, generating leads, outbound calls, and closing sales to grow the dealership's footprint.

You will build a strong pipeline, deliver product demonstrations, and work with service teams to ensure delivery readiness and customer satisfaction. CDL or ability to obtain one is required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of proven sales experience required.
• Experience with prospecting, cold calling, lead generation and new business development.
• Strong negotiation, presentation, follow-up, and closing skills.
• Self-motivated and able to manage a sales pipeline with minimal supervision.
• Comfortable making frequent outbound calls and asking for the business.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Proficient in basic computer skills, CRM software, and inventory management.
• Have or be able to obtain a CDL.
• Experience selling capital goods is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Understand truck business terminology and stay current on inventory, features, and market conditions.
• Prospect for new customers through various outbound activities.
• Develop and maintain a pipeline of owner-operators, fleets, contractors, and commercial customers.
• Provide product information and demonstrations to prospects.
• Identify customer needs and recommend trucks based on application and budget.
• Negotiate and close sales while protecting profitability.
• Ensure vehicles are properly reconditioned and prepared for delivery.
• Advertise equipment across platforms.
• Prepare sold vehicles for delivery and train customers on features and paperwork.
