Silvus is seeking a Business Development Engineer, US Air Force to join the Applications Engineering team. This role bridges RF capabilities with DoD customer requirements and trends, reporting to the Director of Applications Engineering.

You will support field trials, demonstrations, and technical proposals across airborne and expeditionary environments, with travel up to 50% and a remote-working option depending on location.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or related C5ISR field; 2–5 years in systems engineering, tech business development, or defense tech roles.
• Exposure to SDRs, IP-based routing protocols, or tactical comms systems.
• Familiarity with RF test equipment such as spectrum analyzers.
• Active U.S. Government SECRET clearance or ability to obtain within 15 months.
• U.S. Citizenship is required for government contracts.
• Background check and drug test clearance required.

Aufgaben

• Analyze USAF operational priorities and map requirements to radio solutions.
• Plan, configure networks, and execute field trials and evaluations.
• Collaborate to leverage testing data and benchmark analyses.
• Maintain alignment with BD to support strategic priorities.
• Develop technical demos for airborne and expeditionary needs.
• Support RFI/RFP responses with technical input.
• Perform market research for partner integrations and end-to-end architectures.
• Engage with Air Force program leads to translate requirements into roadmap inputs.
• Travel up to 50%; contribute to field tests and demonstrations.
