1. PerformallactivitiesregardingmarketingandsalesofMEC(USA)’simport/export/customshousebrokerageservicesinadesignatedgeographicallocation.
2. Genertenewbusinessandserviceexistingaccountsbytargetplanning,conducting,reviewingandreportingpersonalsalesperformance.
3. Provideinputandimplementsalesandmarketingstrategies.
4. WorkcloselywithOperationstoensureproperhandlingofcustomers’freightanddocumentation.
5. PromptlyrespondasdirectedtocustomerRFQsandsimilarproposalsmadepublicbyrecurrent,new,andpotentialcustomers.
6. Workcloselywithaccountingtoensureallaccountreceivablesandaccountpayablesareproperlycredited,billedandpaid.
7. Helpgenerateandproductivelyuseup-to-daterecordsontariff/contractratesonavailablecarriers(airlines,ocean,inland/interstatetrucking,etc.).
8. Provideweeklydepartmentsalesproductivityreportandserviceirregularityreports.
9. PerformotherdutiesasassignedbyDistrictManager.

Qualifications

1. B.A.orB.S.degreefromanaccreditedcollegeoruniversity.MinimumA.A.degreecombinedwithanincreasedamountofindustry/companyexperiencemaybesubstituted.Ahighschooldiplomamaybeconsideredaslongasthecandidateshowsextensivehistoryinindustrymanagementandadministration.
2. Minimumoffiveyears'osfreightforwardingindustryinasalesorcustomerserviceassignment.
3. Provenexperienceinsimilartransportationindustry-relatedcompanies.
4. Excellentsalesandcustomerrelationskills.AbilitytoNegotiateanddevelopcontracts,especiallywithseniorlevels.
5. Knowledgeoftermsandjargonthatvendors,carriersandcustomersuseinthefreightforwardingindustry.
6. ExcellentVerbalandwrittencommunicationskills.
7. Attentiontodetail,deadline-oriented,dependable,persistence,timemanagement,independent,documentationskills,schedulingandreportingskills.
8. Proven ability to communicate effectively with clients and vendors.
