This role involves leading and developing teams through teaching, training, and active listening; touring stores and providing feedback (Tour-to-Teach); communicating and collaborating across all levels of associates regarding store operations, technology, business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction; leading change efforts; setting clear expectations; and effectively communicating business objectives to teams.
It also requires modeling exceptional customer service standards by following the One Best Way (OBW) service model, managing customer service initiatives, resolving customer issues, and leading process improvements to ensure a high-quality customer experience.
The position includes driving the financial performance and sales of the store area by reviewing P&L statements, managing budgets, forecasting, controlling expenses, monitoring merchandise presentation, inventory flow, operational processes, and developing action plans to meet sales and profit goals.
Supervision and development of hourly associates involve hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, setting expectations, recognizing achievements, promoting diversity and inclusion, and recruiting qualified staff to meet staffing needs and support company growth.
The role also entails coordinating activities with key stakeholders, supporting plans to meet customer and business needs, building accountability, measuring progress, identifying improvement opportunities, and fostering continuous learning.
Providing supervision and development opportunities for staff, ensuring compliance with policies and ethical standards, and supporting the company's mission and values are also essential responsibilities.

The hourly wage range for this position is $31.25-$38.46 plus differential where applicable, with additional bonuses based on performance and location.
Candidates should have 2 years of college, or 1 year of retail and 1 year of supervisory experience, or 2 years of general work experience with 1 year of supervisory experience. For stores selling firearms, successful completion of a firearms-specific Criminal Background Check and Firearms Authorized Training is required. For stores selling ammunition, a current state-issued Certificate of Eligibility may be required. All associates must complete required training and assessments.
Preferred candidates will have a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University, a Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership, and experience supervising five or more direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
