Leads and develops teams effectively by teaching, training, actively listening to associates, touring stores, and providing feedback. Communicates and collaborates with all levels of associates regarding store operations, utilizing technology, business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction. Introduces and leads company change efforts, providing clear expectations and guidance to implement business solutions and communicate business objectives to teams effectively. Models and demonstrates exceptional customer service standards to store associates by following and demonstrating the One Best Way (OBW) service model. Manages and supports customer service initiatives, including store community outreach programs, ensuring customer needs, complaints, and issues are successfully resolved. Develops and implements action plans to correct deficiencies and provides process improvement leadership to ensure a high-quality customer experience.
Drives the financial performance and sales of the designated store area by reviewing and evaluating P&L statements, managing and assisting in budgeting, forecasting, and controlling expenses. Monitors and ensures effective merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow, and operational processes. Develops and implements action plans to mitigate shrink and achieve sales and profit goals. Provides supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates through hiring, training, mentoring, and assigning duties. Sets clear expectations, provides recognition, and communicates expectations consistently and effectively. Ensures diversity and inclusion awareness, recruits, and develops qualified associates to meet staffing needs and company growth potential.

The hourly wage range for this position is $31.25-$38.46 plus differential, with additional bonuses and compensation based on location and performance. The actual hourly rate will meet or exceed the applicable minimum wage.
2 years of college; OR 1 year of retail and 1 year of supervisory experience; OR 2 years of general work experience with 1 year of supervisory experience. For firearm-selling facilities, successful completion of a firearms-specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training is required. For ammunition-only facilities, a current state-issued Certificate of Eligibility may be required. Associates must attend and complete all required trainings and assessments, such as Academy and Open Door trainings.
Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University, Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership through the same programs, and experience supervising five or more direct reports including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
