Position Summary...

Leads and develops teams effectively by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates, touring stores, and providing feedback. Communicates and collaborates with all levels of associates regarding store operations, utilizing technology, business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction. Introduces and leads company change efforts, providing clear expectations and guidance to implement business solutions and communicate business objectives to teams effectively. Models and demonstrates exceptional customer service standards to store associates by following and demonstrating the One Best Way (OBW) service model. Manages and supports customer service initiatives, including store community outreach programs, ensuring customer needs, complaints, and issues are resolved. Develops and implements action plans to correct deficiencies and provides process improvement leadership to ensure a high-quality customer experience. Drives the financial performance and sales of the designated store area by reviewing and evaluating PL (Profit & Loss) statements, managing budgets, forecasting, and controlling expenses. Monitors and ensures effective merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow, and operational processes. Develops and implements action plans to mitigate shrinkage and achieve sales and profit goals. Provides supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates by hiring, training, mentoring, and assigning duties. Sets clear expectations, provides recognition, and promotes a belonging mindset in the workplace. Coordinates and oversees job-related activities by developing relationships with key stakeholders, supporting plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs, and building accountability. Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures, supporting the company’s mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity. Builds high-performing teams, embraces differences, and creates a workplace where associates feel supported and connected. Acts with integrity, maintains high standards of ethics and compliance, and supports Walmart’s culture and sustainability goals. Delivers results with a customer-first approach, making decisions based on data insights and analysis, and balancing priorities. Demonstrates curiosity, resilience, and a desire to learn, encouraging continuous improvement and adoption of new technologies. The position's hourly wage range is $31.25-$38.46, plus additional compensation such as bonuses and regional pay zones where applicable.

Minimum Qualifications...

2 years of college; OR 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervisory experience; OR 2 years of general work experience and 1 year of supervisory experience. For facilities selling firearms, successful completion of a firearms-specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training is required. For facilities selling ammunition with state-specific requirements, a current state-issued Certificate of Eligibility may be required. Associates must attend and complete all required trainings and assessments, such as Academy and Open Door trainings.

Preferred Qualifications...

Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University, Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University, and general work experience supervising 5 or more direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
