Job summary

RiseMe is seeking a Business Development professional to grow our ocean freight network in the United States. You will identify carriers and freight forwarders, negotiate rates and terms, and expand channels for recurring shipments.

The role requires strong Mandarin and English communication, a proven track record in logistics partnerships, and on-site availability in the US. This position offers relocation support and a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

3+ years in business development or sales in ocean/logistics.
Knowledge of US ocean freight market and rate structures.
Established US network of ocean carrier or forwarder contacts.
Experience negotiating terms and converting opportunities to partnerships.

Responsibilities

Identify, develop, and maintain relationships with ocean carriers and freight forwarders in the U.S. market.
Negotiate freight rates, space allocations, payment terms, and service arrangements.
Develop freight forwarder sales channels and identify new business opportunities.
Understand customer and partner requirements and coordinate with internal teams to prepare proposals.
Manage the business development process from outreach to agreement execution and handover.
Coordinate with operations, customs, and customer service to support new accounts.
Monitor market rates, capacity, schedules, and trade lane developments for pricing decisions.
Maintain pipeline of prospects and track progress toward targets.
Review partnerships and coordinate with finance on terms and balances.
