Job summary

DHL Global Forwarding is hiring an Ocean Route Development Manager TPEB-ISC in the US. You will define ocean freight priorities, develop business plans for routes, and sponsor accounts to drive revenue growth while aligning with corporate strategy.

You will analyze market data, collaborate with sales teams, and organize bilateral trade events to expand our global footprint. Strong communication and cross-cultural skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a business discipline; 5–10 years related experience.
• Strong ocean freight product and pricing knowledge.
• Thorough understanding of the sales process and business development strategy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Well-developed interpersonal skills including conflict management and negotiation.
• Cross-cultural competence and cultural sensitivity.
• Self-starter with excellent planning and organizing skills.
• Understanding of continuous improvement methodologies.
• Knowledge of Word, Excel, and Power Point.
• Fluent in English; knowledge of other languages is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Drive profitable growth from new and existing customers with a focus on SMEs.
• Sponsor accounts at a national level for escalations, pricing decisions, growth and satisfaction.
• Define Ocean Freight product priorities and business plans for routes and US territory.
• Evaluate and propose product-related services to catalyze growth.
• Organize bi-lateral trade summits and support in-country sales planning.
• Collaborate with trade analytics and market intelligence to drive growth.
