Job summary

Port.io in Boston seeks an IT Specialist (US) to join our growing team and support our US offices and remote staff. You’ll handle user support, device provisioning, and endpoint management, ensuring smooth technology operations for a fast‑growing SaaS company.

You’ll work with Google Workspace, Jumpcloud, Zoom, Slack, Jira, and Notion, maintain security standards, and partner with Security, HR, and Facilities to keep services reliable across North America.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in IT support, systems administration, and endpoint management.
• Strong knowledge of macOS and Windows environments and device management tools.
• Experience supporting SaaS business applications such as Slack, Zoom, Atlassian, and Notion.
• Understanding of IT security best practices and compliance-oriented environments.
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills.
• Hungry to learn and grow with the ability to work independently and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day IT support for Boston-based employees and remote US staff.
• Manage US and remote procurement and asset management – forecast needs, work with suppliers, place orders and make sure all new hires are set on time.
• Handle onboarding and offboarding processes – including account provisioning, hardware setup, and access management.
• Manage endpoint configuration, maintenance, and lifecycle, ensuring compliance with company security and configuration standards.
• Support corporate applications (Google Workspace, Jumpcloud, Zoom, Slack, Jira, Notion, etc.) and help troubleshoot access and integration issues.
• Serve as the onsite lead for IT-related operations for Port’s North America sites (might require travel), coordinating vendor visits, hardware deliveries, office network maintenance and assist with new offices openings
• Ensure adherence to security and compliance standards, including SOC2 controls.
• Assist with network installation and administration on current and new offices
• Use AI tools actively in your daily work to move faster, write documentation, and reduce repetitive effort.
