Job summary

Port.io in Boston is hiring an IT Specialist to support our US offices and remote staff. You’ll handle day-to-day IT, onboarding, device provisioning, and endpoint management to keep users productive.

You’ll administer Google Workspace, JumpCloud, Zoom, Slack, Jira, Notion and more, ensure SOC2/compliance, and work with vendors for hardware and network tasks. Some travel to NA sites may be required; office days are Tue/Wed/Thu.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in IT support and systems administration.
• Strong macOS and Windows expertise with device management tools.
• Experience supporting SaaS business applications (Slack, Zoom, Atlassian, Notion).
• Understanding of IT security best practices and compliance.
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day IT support for Boston-based employees and remote US staff, with time zone coverage.
• Manage US procurement and asset management—forecast needs, work with suppliers, place orders, and onboard new hires.
• Handle onboarding and offboarding processes including account provisioning, hardware setup, and access management.
• Manage endpoint configuration, maintenance, and lifecycle, ensuring security/compliance.
• Support corporate applications (Google Workspace, JumpCloud, Zoom, Slack, Jira, Notion) and troubleshoot access/integration issues.
• Serve as onsite lead for IT operations for Port's North America sites (travel may be required)
• Ensure adherence to SOC2 security/compliance standards.
• Assist with network installation and administration in current and new offices.
• Use AI tools to move faster, write documentation, and improve IT workflows.
