Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking a Business Development Engineer for US Air Force programs. You will bridge RF capabilities with DoD customer requirements, supporting field trials, and demonstrations across airborne and expeditionary environments.

Reporting to Applications Engineering, you will work with BD and engineering teams, travel up to 50%, with remote options depending on location. Must hold or obtain SECRET clearance and be a U.S. citizen.

Qualifications

• Degree in EE/CE/CS/Network Engineering or related C5ISR field with 2–5 years in systems engineering or defense tech
• Exposure to SDRs, IP routing protocols, or tactical communications
• Familiar with RF test equipment such as spectrum analyzers and signal generators
• Active U.S. Government SECRET clearance or ability to obtain within 15 months
• U.S. Citizenship required
• Background check and drug test clearance required

Responsibilities

• Analyze US Air Force priorities and map to tactical radio solutions
• Plan networks, configure, and execute field trials and evaluations
• Collaborate to benchmark data and verify solution architectures
• Support BD with technical needs and align to strategic priorities
• Develop technical demos for airborne, edge, and expeditionary networks
