American Veterinary Group's UrgentVet Hospitals in Westford is seeking a full-time Urgent Care Shift Lead to oversee daily operations, lead patient care, and support a fast-paced clinical team.

The role involves supervising paraprofessional staff across shifts, coordinating scheduling, ensuring quality care, managing client relations, and maintaining accurate records in a modern cloud-based EMR environment; a strong customer-service background and veterinary exposure are essential.

Formación

• Two years of experience in healthcare, veterinary profession, or service-type industry.
• Medical background with medical terminology training.
• Associate degree or veterinary technician certification/licensure preferred.
• Six months of prior experience in a management position strongly preferred.
• Animal handling experience including patient restraint, sample collection, and monitoring
• Clinical skills including phlebotomy, catheter placement, laboratory analysis, and drug calculation

Responsabilidades

• Provide leadership across shifts and support hospital operations.
• Coordinate paraprofessional staff and optimize productivity.
• Ensure effective communication with clients and staff.
• Assist with client resolution decisions and billing adjustments.
• Train and mentor new paraprofessional staff.
• Address equipment issues and manage inventory.
• Perform on-site presence as essential function.
