Job summary

Summit Medical Group seeks a Scribe Tech to capture accurate documentation of patient visits in the EMR, assist physicians with basic care, and support lab coordination in a fast-paced urgent care setting.

This role offers hands-on exposure to medical procedures, DOH-compliant operations, and patient service excellence, with the potential to grow toward CNA/MA/EMT pathways. BLS certification required at hire; full-time, with weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, additional education is a plus.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assisting program; phlebotomy certs a plus.
• Friendly and professional with excellent bedside manner.
• Flexible with full-time schedule including weekends.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• BLS certification required at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist the physician with basic patient care and medical procedures.
• Ensure DOH compliance of site lab and exam rooms.
• Escort patients to exam rooms, x-rays or other facilities on site.
• Maintain a quick pace in a fast-paced urgent care facility for the shift.
• Facilitate diagnostic tests and referrals via Aftercare.
• Communicate with patients, pharmacies, and physicians by phone under guidance.
• Help maintain a clean, courteous, and professional working environment.
• Ensure the site is fully stocked with supplies.
• Provide compassionate care to our patients.
