Job summary

Summit Health is seeking a Scribe for an urgent care setting. The role involves documenting patient visits in the EMR, assisting physicians with basic care and procedures, and supporting site operations including patient flow and labs.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, strong communication skills, and a commitment to compassionate patient care. Weekend availability and BLS certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School degree or GED required.
• BLS certification required at time of hire.
• Flexible with full-time schedule including weekends.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
• English language skills required.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Team player with compassionate mindset.
• Basic understanding of DOH requirements preferred.

Responsibilities

• Capture accurate and detailed documentation of patient visits in EMR.
• Assist physician with basic patient care and medical procedures.
• Assist site management with patient flow, inventory and lab follow-ups.
• Ensure site lab compliance with DOH regulations.
• Provide excellent customer service while following protocols.
