Job summary

Summit Health is seeking a Scribe Tech for our urgent care operations. You will capture accurate patient visit documentation in the EMR, assist physicians with basic care, and help manage patient flow and labs.

This role offers strong exposure to clinical workflows and a path toward healthcare progression. Requirements include high school diploma or GED, completion of a Medical Assisting program or phlebotomy certification, and solid communication skills in English.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; undergrad degree a plus
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting program and/or phlebotomy certifications a plus; training provided
• Friendly and professional with excellent bedside manner
• Flexible with full-time schedule including a weekend day
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
• English language skills required
• High attention to detail
• Must be passionate about helping others in urgent care
• Team player; basic computer proficiency
• Bilingual language skills preferred based on site location
• BLS certification required at time of hire

Responsibilities

• Capture accurate and detailed documentation of patient visits in the EMR
• Assist the physician with basic patient care and medical procedures
• Direct patient flow, inventory, and follow-up on labs
• Ensure site lab compliance with DOH regulations
• Provide exceptional customer service while following protocols and maintaining quality
