Job summary

Summit Health is seeking a Scribe Tech to document patient visits in the EMR and assist clinicians in a fast-paced urgent care setting. The role supports site management, labs, and patient flow while upholding DOH compliance and exceptional patient service.

Ideal candidates have Medical Assisting or phlebotomy background, strong communication, and a positive, team-focused attitude. Training will be provided.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or GED; college degree a plus.
• Graduation from a Medical Assisting program and/or phlebotomy certification; training provided.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Capture accurate, timely documentation of patient visits into the EMR.
• Assist physicians with basic patient care and procedures.
• Direct patient flow, manage inventory, and follow up on labs as needed.
• Ensure lab compliance with DOH regulations.
• Provide outstanding patient service per protocols and maintain volume without compromising quality.
