Job summary

Summit Health is seeking a Scribe Tech to accurately document patient visits in the EMR and assist physicians with basic care and procedures. The role supports site management in patient flow and lab follow-ups, while ensuring DOH compliance and a courteous environment.

Ideal candidates may have CNA/MA/EMT/Paramedic exposure and a willingness to work full-time in a fast-paced urgent care setting. High school diploma or GED required; BLS certification preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or GED or equivalent.
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting program and/or phlebotomy certifications a plus, but not required. Training will be provided.
• BLS certification at the time of hire is required.

Responsibilities

• Capturing accurate and detailed documentation of the patient visit into the EMR in a timely manner.
• Assisting the physician with basic patient care and medical procedures.
• Directing patient flow, inventory, and following up on labs as needed.
• Ensuring DOH compliance of site lab and exam rooms.
• Escort patients to exam rooms, x-rays or other facilities on site.
• Maintain a clean, courteous, and professional working environment.
