Job summary

Summit Health is seeking a Scribe to capture accurate documentation of patient visits in the EMR and assist physicians with basic care in a fast-paced urgent care setting.

The role supports site management, ensures DOH-compliant labs, and delivers compassionate service while handling high patient volumes. BLS certification required at hire, high school diploma or GED accepted with preference for related experience.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or GED; Undergraduate degree is a plus.
• Friendly and professional with excellent bedside manner.
• Flexible with full-time schedule including a weekend day.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• English language (speaking and writing) required.
• High attention to detail.
• Must be passionate about helping others and be a team player.
• BLS certification is preferred or required at hire.

Responsibilities

• Capture accurate and detailed documentation of patient visits in the EMR promptly.
• Assist physician with basic patient care and medical procedures.
• Direct patient flow, inventory, and follow up on labs.
• Ensure site lab compliance with DOH regulations.
• Provide exceptional customer service while following protocols and managing volume.
