Job summary

Summit Health is seeking a Scribe Tech to accurately document patient visits in the EMR and support physicians with basic care in a fast-paced urgent care setting.

The role includes managing patient flow, labs, and DOH compliance while delivering excellent customer service and maintaining a professional environment. CNA/MA/EMT career exposure is a plus with on-the-job training provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, Undergraduate degree a plus
• Graduate from an accredited Medical Assisting program and/or phlebotomy certifications a plus. Training will be provided.
• Friendly and professional with excellent bedside manner.
• Flexible with full-time work schedule including a weekend day.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Capture accurate and detailed documentation of the patient visit into the EMR in a timely manner.
• Assist the physician with basic patient care and medical procedures.
• Direct patient flow, inventory, and follow up on labs.
• Ensure site lab compliance with DOH regulations.
• Provide compassionate customer service while adhering to protocols.
