Job summary

Summit Health is seeking a Scribe Tech to document patient visits in the EMR, support physicians with basic care, and help manage patient flow and lab follow-ups. You will ensure DOH regulatory compliance and deliver exceptional patient service in a fast-paced urgent care setting.

The role emphasizes accuracy, attention to detail, and teamwork. Training is provided; BLS certification is required at hire. Bilingual skills may be welcomed by certain sites.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or GED; undergraduate degree a plus.
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting program and/or phlebotomy certifications a plus. Training will be provided.
• Friendly and professional with excellent bedside manner.
• Flexible with full-time schedule including a weekend day.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• English language (speaking and writing) required.
• Bilingual language skills required or preferred depending on site.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Capturing accurate and detailed documentation of patient visits into the EMR in a timely manner.
• Assisting the physician with basic patient care and medical procedures.
• Directing patient flow, inventory, and following up on labs; assisting site management.
• Ensuring DOH compliance of site lab and exam rooms.
• Provide compassionate customer service adhering to protocols while managing high volume.
