Summit Health is seeking an enthusiastic Medical Scribe to document patient visits in the EMR promptly and support physicians with routine care. The role emphasizes accuracy, patient interaction, and adherence to DOH-regulations in a fast-paced urgent care setting.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or GED; undergraduate degree a plus.
• Friendly and professional with excellent bedside manner.
• Flexible with full-time schedule including a weekend day.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Bilingual language skills preferred depending on site.

Responsibilities

• Assist the physician with basic patient care and medical procedures.
• Capture accurate documentation of patient visits into EMR promptly.
• Direct patient flow, inventory, and follow up on labs.
• Ensure DOH compliance of site lab and exam rooms.
• Escort patients to exam rooms and imaging as needed.
• Maintain a fast pace in urgent care during shifts.
• Provide compassionate patient care and maintain clean, professional environment.
• Ensure site is stocked with supplies.
