Summit Medical Group in New Jersey is seeking a Scribe for our urgent care sites. You will capture accurate documentation, assist physicians with basic patient care, and help manage patient flow and labs while upholding DOH compliance.

This role offers exposure to CNA/MA/EMT/Paramedic paths and serves as a strong resume-builder for medical school or other healthcare studies. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment, maintain professionalism, and deliver compassionate care to every patient.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or GED; undergraduate degree a plus
• Friendly and professional with excellent bedside manner
• Flexible with full-time work schedule, including weekend day
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
• English language (speaking and writing) skills required
• Bilingual language skills preferred or required based on site location
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at time of hire
• Strong organizational, problem solving, communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Assist the physician with basic patient care and medical procedures (e.g., labs, EKG, rapid tests)
• Ensure compliance of site lab and exam rooms with DOH requirements
• Escort patients to exam rooms, x-rays or other facilities on site
• Maintain a fast pace in a busy urgent care facility for the scheduled shift
• Facilitate diagnostic tests and referrals to specialists via Aftercare
• Communicate with patients, pharmacies, and physicians under physician guidance
• Maintain a clean, courteous, and professional environment
• Keep the site stocked with necessary supplies
• Provide compassionate care to patients
