Job summary

VillageMD is seeking a Scribe in New Jersey to accurately document patient visits in the EMR and support physicians with basic care and procedures. The role emphasizes timely, DOH-compliant documentation and efficient patient flow in a fast-paced urgent care setting.

Ideal candidates will have strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a compassionate approach. On-site responsibilities include lab coordination and maintaining a professional environment for patients and staff.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or GED; undergraduate degree a plus.
• Friendly and professional with excellent bedside manner.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• English language (speaking and writing) skills required.
• High attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the physician with basic patient care and medical procedures (e.g., UA, EKG, labs).
• Ensure DOH compliance of site labs and exam rooms.
• Escort patients to exam rooms, x-rays, or other facilities on site.
• Maintain fast pace in a busy urgent care facility (8–12 hour shifts).
• Facilitate diagnostic tests and referrals via Aftercare where appropriate.
• Communicate with patients, pharmacies, and physicians under physician guidance.
• Help maintain a clean, courteous, professional environment.
• Ensure the site is fully stocked with supplies.
