Summit Medical Group in New Jersey is seeking a Scribe to capture accurate documentation of patient visits, assist physicians with basic care, and help manage patient flow and labs in a fast-paced urgent care setting.

The role emphasizes DOH compliance, compassionate patient service, and strong teamwork. Requires high school diploma or GED, BLS, and excellent communication; weekend flexibility is a plus.

Formación

• High School Degree or GED is required; Undergraduate degree a plus.
• Friendly and professional with excellent bedside manner.
• Flexible with full-time work schedule including a weekend day.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• English language (speaking and writing) required.
• High attention to detail.
• Must be passionate about helping others and a team player.
• Knowledge of third-party payor requirements preferred.

• Strong organizational, problem solving, communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsabilidades

• Assisting the physician with basic patient care and medical procedures, including but not limited to Urine Drug Screens, lab processing, fit testing, rapid point of care testing, UA, EKG, procedure set ups, etc.
• Ensuring Department of Health (DOH) compliance of site lab and exam rooms with appropriate logbooks and handling of supplies.
• Escort patients to exam rooms, x-rays or other facilities on site as needed.
• Maintain a quick pace in a fast-paced urgent care facility for the duration of scheduled shift (8-12 hours, excluding meals/breaks).
• Facilitating diagnostic tests (e.g., CT, MRI, ultrasounds) and referrals to medical specialists for follow-up care via Aftercare.
• Communicating with patients, pharmacies, and physicians over the phone under physician guidance.
• Helping maintain a clean, courteous, and professional working environment.
• Ensuring the site is fully stocked with supplies.
• Providing compassionate care to our patients.
