You will register patients, verify demographics, obtain insurance cards, and identify patients accurately. Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in patient registration/healthcare preferred.
• Must provide excellent customer service and clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Serves as the primary point of contact between patients and physician practices.
• Greet patients and community with respectful, professional communication.
• Answer calls, schedule patients, and input scheduling information accurately.
• Process patients at the point of care and verify demographics and insurance.
• Troubleshoot problems promptly to maintain patient flow and inform supervisor as needed.
• Process admission paperwork, verify insurance, and correct registration errors.
• Record lobby wait times and collect patient payments as needed.
• Reconcile cash drawer daily and perform charge entry for external services.
• Schedule referrals, follow-ups, and assist with MyChart scheduling.
• Assist with referrals and obtain required authorizations when applicable.
• Pull and file patient charts per policy and route to clinical staff.
• Verify RX benefits in electronic health record.
• Refer patients to financial counselors for payment arrangements.
