Job summary

Bon Secours is seeking a Patient Services Representative for Occupational Health at the Anderson Urgent Care site. You will be the first contact for patients and the community, handling referrals, registrations, insurance verification, and medical record updates.

You will schedule appointments, transcribe orders, explain financial options, and support efficient patient flow while maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or GED required.
• Associates Degree in Healthcare or related field preferred.
• Knowledge of medical billing procedures required.
• Knowledge of ICD-9 and CPT coding preferred.
• Prior medical office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greeting patients and the community with strong communication and excellent customer service.
• Process admission paperwork and basic insurance verification for hospital billing.
• Answer internal and external calls in a friendly and helpful manner.
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems promptly.
• Coordinate bed placement to ensure prompt and appropriate patient placement.
• Other duties as assigned.
