Job summary

NextCare in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Full‑Time clinician to join our urgent care team. This role offers varied, autonomous practice with strong leadership support, a fast-paced clinic, and a focus on work‑life balance.

Expect three 12‑hour shifts weekly, no after-hours tasks, and schedules published in advance. You’ll work with a patient mix across ages, perform urgent care procedures, and maintain high-quality documentation and patient communication.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted AZ license for NP | PA.
• DOT Certification.
• Board certification or eligibility, as applicable.
• PA: NCCPA certification.
• NP: ANCC or AANP certification (FNP required).
• Active DEA license (or ability to obtain).
• Ability to treat patients of all ages.
• Active BLS certification.
• EHR proficiency.
• Willingness to work occasional weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages in an urgent care setting.
• Manage acute illnesses, injuries, and occupational health visits.
• Order and interpret diagnostic studies, including labs and imaging.
• Perform urgent care procedures such as suturing and wound management (as applicable).
• Clearly communicate diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently in the EHR.
• Code and bill services appropriately.
• Maintain productivity consistent with urgent care benchmarks.
• Practice in alignment with NextCare clinical standards and values.
