Job summary

American Family Care Parsippany and Denville is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to care for patients within the scope of training and approved agreement. The APP will work collaboratively with other providers and staff to ensure efficient patient flow and high patient satisfaction at a franchised location where duties may vary by franchise.

The role requires board certification and active licensure, with ER or Urgent Care experience, and the ability to manage multiple tasks

Qualifications

• Board-certified with ANCC, AANP, or NCCPA and at least 1 year ER/urgent care experience.
• Licensed physician assistant or nurse practitioner in the state of practice, plus DEA and state-controlled substance certificates as required.
• Ability to multi-task and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Take complete health histories and develop medical assessments; order labs and imaging as appropriate.
• Develop diagnoses and coordinate therapy or referrals to facilities and resources.
• Initiate emergency measures and stabilization in critical events such as cardiac arrest, shock, or poisoning.
• Interpret patient data to guide management and treatment.
• Provide health care guidance to patients and families.
• Fulfill other duties as assigned.
