Job summary

American Family Care, Inc. is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to care for patients within the scope of training. You will work with other providers to ensure efficient patient flow and high patient satisfaction.

The APP should be a PA or NP with current state licensure, DEA and CDS as required, and be able to multitask independently in a fast-paced setting, including acute and urgent care cases.

Qualifications

• Excellent communicator with staff, patients, and family
• Professional appearance and attitude
• ANCC, AANP, or NCCPA Board Certified – (with 1 yr ER/UC experience preferred)
• Active and current Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of practice, DEA number, and state-controlled substance certificate, as required
• Able to multi-task and work independently

Responsibilities

• Take comprehensive medical histories and develop assessments, order labs and imaging as needed
• Formulate diagnoses and refer patients to appropriate facilities
• Provide emergency measures and stabilization when required
• Interpret patient data to guide management and treatment
• Educate patients and families on care and health promotion
• Perform additional duties as assigned
