Job summary

American Family Care, Inc. is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to care for patients within scope of training and board approval. The APP will work with other providers to ensure efficient patient flow and high patient satisfaction at a franchised location.

Duties and benefits vary between franchises. Responsibilities include comprehensive histories, diagnoses, therapy, emergencies, and coordinated referrals, with emphasis on patient education and safe care in a busy urgent care

Qualifications

• Excellent communicator with staff, patients, and family
• Professional appearance and attitude
• ANCC, AANP, or NCCPA Board Certified – ER/UC experience preferred
• Active PA or NP licensure in the state, DEA number, and state CDS certificate as required
• Able to multi-task and work independently

Responsibilities

• Take comprehensive health histories, review records, and order labs, imaging and tests as appropriate
• Formulate medical and nursing diagnoses and coordinate referrals
• Institute emergency measures and stabilization for cardiac arrest, shock, poisoning, and allergic reactions
• Interpret patient data to guide management and treatment
• Provide health care guidance to patients and families
